For women’s smaller hands, it’s hard to find a glove with a snug fit.

Some are too tight, and some are loose, affecting your ability to train well. But I’ve done the research to find the best options out there.

My pick of the best boxing gloves for women is the Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves. These gloves are affordable, highly supportive to weaker wrists, and come in small sizes like 10 oz or 12 oz, making them ideal for smaller-sized hands and wrists.

But I also think the Revgear S5 is a good option if you’re looking for something a bit cheaper. The Cleto Reyes Hook & Loop is excellent for ladies who want a premium glove with extra style.

I’ve also picked out a couple more options for different women’s needs.

If getting ultimate wrist stability is your main priority, then I recommend checking out our best boxing gloves for wrist support article. Otherwise, keep reading!

Top picks on boxing gloves for women

I’ve collected several options for different budgets and needs in boxing training.

Here’s a quick preview of every glove option on this list:

  • Revgear S5 All-Rounder β€” Solid budget glove for supporting smaller hands while looking good.
  • Hayabusa T3 β€” Glove perfection for wrist support and a variety of color options.
  • Cleto Reyes Hook and Loop β€” Classic yet premium boxing style with excellent support & padding.
  • Rival RS2V 2.0 β€” Choice for any woman who wants to go to the next level in sparring.
  • Sanabul Easter Egg β€” If pastel aesthetics is your thing, these are the choice.

Let me tell you a little more about my top three choices…

The Revgear S5 is a good option for beginners, tiny wrists, and different uses. You can read the full review to understand more. It’s very affordable, too.

The Hayabusa T3 is always one of my top picks because there aren’t many gloves that can compare to the level of hand protection. They also cover the smaller sizes (10-12 oz). I already reviewed the Marvel version of this glove.

The Cleto Reyes Hook & Loop glove is also a decent pick because there are usually smaller sizes plus plenty of significant color variants to choose from.

If you need to know more about each option, plus a few more, and why they are good for the ladies use, then keep scrolling.

I enjoyed testing out the Revgear S5 for myself and found them to be a reliable glove that’s good for different uses.

It claims to be an “All-Rounder” glove, so that it can be used on heavy bags, mitts, and even punching faces.

But I’d never recommend a glove for many uses, and advise you to take this glove if you’re focusing on pad work with a coach and the occasional heavy bag.

It has a decent strapping for smaller hands, but if you’re likely to go much heavier with your striking or sparring then you’ll want to get another heavier pair as well.

Guide to picking the right glove for women

Allow me to guide you with a few crucial considerations in choosing the right boxing gloves.

The ideal boxing glove weight/size for women

Women typically have smaller hands and wrists, making a glove size/weight of 8 oz, 10 oz, or 12 oz the best options.

If you’re focusing on mitts and pad work, you should be fine with the 8 oz glove size.

If you want a glove to use on the heavy bag, then extra padding might be needed, so consider 10 oz or 12 oz.

You need to use heavier-sized gloves during sparring because it’s safer for your opponent. You usually have to jump up to 16 oz if you want to fight.

How much to spend on a boxing glove

You can buy boxing gloves as cheaply as $20 and as expensive as $600++.

So, it can be a bit tricky to know how much you should spend when you want something of good quality that is reliably safe for protecting your hands and wrists.

Hand and wrist issues are the most common injury for boxing enthusiasts and athletes, so using decent protection is critical.

As a general rule, I would avoid buying boxing gloves under $50.

Decent boxing glove options are at least in the $80-150 range.

And really great gloves are usually above $150.

You get what you pay for.

And what you’re paying for with more expensive options is usually:

  • Higher quality glove padding makes them last longer and protect your hands better
  • Advanced glove research and manufacturing technologies to improve function (like the Hayabusa T3)
  • Reliable outer materials like high-quality natural leather instead of those cheaper manufactured ones

So look out for these features and if you have extra money to spend, then do it, as it’s usually worth it.

Protecting your hands from injuries that take months to heal is priceless.

Trustworthy boxing glove brands

You might want to know which are the most reputable brands for boxing gloves, so I’ll list those here.

These are a mixture of gloves I have reviewed and tried out for myself or have heard really good things about:

I would generally recommend avoiding anything from budget brands like Everlast, Adidas, Starpro, and RDX.
