How to use the MMA weight class calculator

It's quite simple to use this tool, but here are some instructions in case you need them:

  • Select your desired promotion, e.g. UFC, ONE FC, PFL, or the Unified Rules of MMA
  • Enter your current weight in pounds or kilograms
  • Select your weight metric in pounds (lbs) or kilograms (kgs)
  • Choose your level of weight cut from none to Pro level
  • Hit Calculate!

The tool will give you the ideal weight class for you as a fighter!

It works by using the weight you input, either in lbs or kg, and takes off the weight cut to match you to the right weight class for the promotion you select.

What are the UFC weight classes?

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a total of nine weight classes, as follows:

  1. Strawweight (115 lbs / 52.2 kg)
  2. Flyweight (125 lbs / 56.7 kg)
  3. Bantamweight (135 lbs / 61.2 kg)
  4. Featherweight (145 lbs / 65.78 kg)
  5. Lightweight (155 lbs / 70.3 kg)
  6. Welterweight (170 lbs / 77.1 kg)

ONE Championship has a total of ten weight classes, which are:

  4. Light Heavyweight (205 lbs / 93.0 kg)

What are the Unified Rules of MMA weight classes?

The Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts has a potential of fifteen weight classes, meaning that MMA promotions are encouraged to make use of these naming and weight conventions:

  2. Straw Weight (115 lbs / 52.2 kg)
