MMA Hive was created by Joe Bloom, an MMA fanatic and student, in 2020.
Joe started mixed martial arts training at BaliMMA, one of Indonesia’s leading MMA gyms, in 2019 and has been hooked ever since. He participated in Boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, learning with other professional MMA fighters who compete in ONE Championship, Bellator, among others.
Most of Joe’s tuition has come from Mike Ikelei and Gianni Subba, formerly of BaliMMA and now Soma Fight Club. Mike is the head striking coach, hailing from Elite Thai Kickboxing under Jason Suttie. And Gianni has been a professional fighter in ONE Championship for several years.
MMA Hive has become a passion project, now bringing on several authors into the hive to give a variety of standout MMA content. We want to help amateurs get better at martial arts, and entertain fans about the MMA sporting world’s history and events.
